Frequently Asked Questions

What are the hours of operation?

The wellness center facility will open at 5:00 AM and close at 9:00PM daily, Monday thru Friday, and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday. Wellness center will be closed on Sundays.

How do I sign up for membership?

Come by the J. Cleo Thompson Wellness Center at 103 Medical Dr. in Ozona during regular hours of operation, obtain and complete a membership packet, and pay the appropriate membership fee for your age group and payment frequency (monthly, semi-annually or annually).

Who is eligible for membership at the wellness center?

Members must be 18+ years old and willing to participate at their own risk. In some cases a physician’s statement may be required.

What forms of payment do you accept?

JCT Wellness Center accepts cash, check, debit card, credit card and automatic bank drafts and electronic payments. Once membership is established, members who have elected to install our mobile app portal to the Mind Body system may pay their fees online.

Why am I charged for membership fees for months I do not workout or attend classes at the wellness center.

The monthly contract agreed upon in the membership packet when you became a member is for an annual contract with the appropriate fee charged monthly on your account or another method of payment. To cancel a contract so that you are not charged the monthly fee, we must be given notice 30 days in advance of the desired termination date.

Will my insurance company cover the membership fees?

While there are some insurance companies that will pay the wellness center directly for membership fees, others will reimburse members directly after they have presented receipts for your wellness center/gym expenses, and others do not reimburse at all. You will need to contact your respective health insurance company to determine your eligibility. Click here for more information.

How do I cancel my membership?

A member is required to provide thirty (30) days written notice of intent to cancel membership. The effective date of the notification is the date the notification is received in the wellness center office.

When is the swimming pool available?

Pool will be available from 5:30 AM until 8:00 PM, Monday thru Friday, and 8:30 to noon on Saturday.

Will towels be provided?

Yes… hand towels for working out and bath towels and wash cloths for shower.

Do you offer group exercise classes?

Yes, all classes are included in your membership fee and you can plan, sign-up, schedule, and view classes in which you are interested. Download the JCT Wellness Center app and portal from your preferred app store (Apple App and Google Play), follow the prompts to download and install the app, and you can view the classes in which you are interested.

Can we have guests?

Yes. Guests are welcomed and will be charged a nominal fee of $10.00 per day.

Will I have to continue paying for my membership if I should suddenly be required by a doctor or physician to refrain from physical activity for a long period of time?

No. You should present a physician’s statement to the wellness center office and your membership will be placed on “hold” until further notice.
