In my capacity as a health coach, nutritionist, and human movement specialist; I have received great satisfaction from helping others seek out and apply solutions to aid in their personal health journeys. While personal successes can be rife with obstacles, the accomplishments have been most exhilarating and drive my passion to be more and help more.
My formal background and skills in the health and wellness industry consist of a health coach certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and certification upon the completion of a comprehensive course regarding the science of human movement. However, I also cite my personal experience and knowledge gained from my own health journey, which began in the Spring of 2010, after being advised by my VA caregiver that people like me with COPD, heart disease, skin cancer, Type-2 Diabetes, hypertension, and weighing 325 lbs. usually, live for about five years.
Within two years, after dietary and lifestyle changes, strength and cardiovascular training, I had increased my life expectancy to 25+ years, and all the above conditions were in remission... and today, my personal journey goes on, my health continues to improve, and my passion grows.
In my capacity as a contributing writer for the Ozona Stockman's, "Here's To Your Health" since the fall of 2015, I have been in a state of constant research, ferreting out nutritional information for the column. More precisely, I challenge the myth, dogma, and misinformation that cripples the health and wellness of billions of people throughout the world; searching out credible science and studies to support protocols that improve health and wellness.
